This makes them noticeably heavier than any home guitar, and closer to a real guitar in weight. To counter the threat of the guitars breaking, which would make the machine unusable, the guitars have metal frames inserted. The arcade machine comes with two hard-wired guitars, significantly more sturdy than those of the home version of Guitar Hero III.
Some songs, perhaps thought by the developers to be the most popular songs from Guitar Hero III, are labelled "premium" and require additional credits to play. Its displays and menus share the same art style and backgrounds, with the needed modifications for a coin-operated game. The game is built on a modified version of Guitar Hero III for the PC: in fact, all of its songs are either main set list or bonus songs from Guitar Hero III or downloadable content for it. One more thing – the PC version also supports bass guitar. Cliffs of Dover will probably one of the hardest songs to play in the game. However, I could almost be sure that there is at least one in the Rocksmith DLC that will have you interested. You could pay the price for another Rocksmith game with just 10 to 15 songs (depending on how much you paid for the game and DLCs). The DLC packages aren’t cheap and they aren’t plenty. Here’s a list of additional songs from the Ubisoft website that players can pay and download… LINK Speaking of downloadable content (DLC), the game is handled by Steam and new songs are the game’s DLCs. … which the maker of the YouTube video also said that you cannot use DLC or other added music with his method. There is, however, someone who claims that you can play the game without the Real Tone cable… It’s actually one of the best guitar USB interface I’ve used. That said, I don’t mind being necessitated into using the Real Tone cable.

Again, you cannot use just any USB interface including ones that use ASIO drivers which are supposed to be one of the more universal interfaces for audio recording. It has to be the cable made for the game. Unfortunately, you cannot use just any USB guitar cable. The game came with the necessary cable to play, by the way. I used the word “force”, but I don’t misunderstand. Long story short, the game will force the player to master the songs and the guitar. Necessary techniques to play the songs in the game are also explained in a separate section and challenges in techniques are also provided (which the game will rate you with a score). If the player has been playing better on the currently given notes, more notes are added. Easier levels mean that more notes are skipped. The game itself features a system where you can play at your own level. Checking the Real Tone cable and tuning the guitar strings are the first objectives. The games starts by assuming the player does not know anything about the guitar. Rocksmith is a game where players use a real electric guitar – not the plastic, four button guitar popularized by Guitar Hero. The game was released mid October of 2012 for the PC.
